96th Battle of the Maroons
2026 Grand Reveal & Parade

On February 22, 2026, Colombo witnessed the explosive kickoff to the 96th Battle of the Maroons. The iconic vehicle parade fueled by traditional Papare beats, united Ananda and Nalanda in a spectacular display of brotherhood and school pride.

​The momentum peaked at the highly anticipated Maroons Grand Reveal. Serving as the season’s strategic launchpad, this premier segment featured the official 2026 jersey reveal, corporate partner introductions and the formal presentation of both elite cricketing squads.

​Following the formalities, the atmosphere transitioned into an exclusive after-party. Anchored by the band Ants, the night was electrified by live performances from Sarith Surith, Falan Andrea and a host of other prominent Sri Lankan artists.

​With the squads locked in and the city painted maroon, all focus shifts to the S.S.C. Grounds for ​Three-Day Test Encounter on February 27th – March 1st and The Historic Day-Night 48th ODI Encounter on 7th of March.
