The Junior Prefects’ Guild of Nalanda College organized a social project on the 27th of February to support the Kandegedara Junior School in Dewalegama in need. The Junior Prefects’ Guild was able to develop their infrastructure facilities by building them a new dancing room for the usage of teachers and students. They refurbished the entire school by repainting the school buildings and repairing the damaged classrooms. To develop the school and students and help them brighten up their future, Junior Prefects’ Guild also donated stationeries, sports equipment, sound systems, et cetera. Overall the Guild was able to contribute more than Rs. 300,000 for the development of this school. A ceremony was organized on that day appreciating the contributions made by the Junior Prefects’ Guild, with the participation of Mr. Ajith Wickrama, the Deputy Principal of Nalanda College as the chief guest.
