Newly appointed Prefects’ Top Board Badge Ceremony – 2021
The Senior Prefects’ Top Board Badge Ceremony of Nalanda College for the year 2021 was concluded successfully today. The event was glorified with the presence of the school administration, parents and the students of Nalanda College. For those who could not be there physically due to the ongoing pandemic situation, we were able to stream this gracious occasion live via the Facebook live stream.
Tree Plantation Project by the Scout Troop of Nalanda College
The Phase 1 of the project was successfully completed by the Nalanda College Scout Troop on 10th October 2020 by planting 100 "Na" trees (???????????????????? ????????????????????????) near the Kottawa Interchange at the Southern Expressway. The event was officiated by the Assistant District Commissioner of Colombo District Scout Branch; Mr. Sampath Wijesinghe and the Additional Director of Expressway Operation, Maintenance & Management Division of Road Development Authority; Mr. Anura Mannapperuma.

නාලන්දීයන් සැමවිටම ඉදිරියෙන් සිටින්නේ රටක් අබිබවා ලෝකය ජයගන්නට තරම් ඔවුනට ශක්තියක් තිබූ බැවිනි. ඒ ආකාරයටම නාලන්දාවෙන් අධ්‍යාපනය ලබා ඉදිරියටම ගමන් කළ තවත් ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨ පුද්ගලයෙක් අද වන විට නාලන්දාවට තවත් ගෞරවයක් ලබාදීමට සමත් වී ඇත. එතුමන් නාලන්දා කීර්ති ශ්‍රී මහාචාර්ය චන්දන ජයරත්න මහතායී. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ අකුණු පර්යේෂණයෙහි පුරෝගාමියෙකු වූ එතුමන් මොරටුව පිහිටි ආතර්.සී ක්ලාක් නූතන තාක්ෂණ ආයතනයෙහි උපදේශකවරයෙකු ලෙසද සේවය කර ඇත. තාරකා විද්‍යා අංශයෙන්ද, විශාල පර්යේෂණ ගණනාවක් සිදුකළ එතුමා හට කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ භෞතික විද්‍යා අධ්‍යනාංශයේ ,විද්‍යා පීඨයේ ,පීඨාධිපති ධූරය පිරිනමන ලදී. නාලන්දාවට තවත් මෙවන් වූ අභිමානයක් ලබාදීම වෙනුවෙන් සමස්ත නාලන්දාවේ සුභාසිංශන.
